Steve Tomlin is accomplished as a contemporary artist. He has been successfully producing tantalizing visual pieces before the beginning of this century. He has been represented by galleries for the great majority of his career and is collected coast to coast. His work can be enjoyed at M A Doran Gallery in Tulsa and Paseo Gallery One in Oklahoma City.

 

His journey took him to the visual art classroom where he excelled in producing fine visual artists at every level from kindergarten to university advanced degrees. This daily routine of updating his students from his experiences in the studio, brought him to a sophisticated level of production. He maintains a strict studio schedule, but is generous  with private students. He is proud to have been exposed to the discipline of great artists Bert Keeney, Harry Krug, Ruth Armstrong and Harold Stone.

 

Blessed with superb drawing ability, his early pieces contain images portraying the human condition. As an avid painter of acrylics he moved into the non-objective category of abstract expressionism.

He is presently working with his hand created stencils to create images again. He says, "I have learned not to promise anything."
